Lakeport Unified School District

The new facility will be used the different schools for different purposes throughout the day.  This unique situation required careful planning of the shared space.  This project consists of two joint use projects funded by OPSC. The project funding is for a multipurpose facility and a gymnasium as well as a growth funded classroom.  The District is utilizing the lease/lease back construction process and is now under construction with completion scheduled for June 2005.  Currently the basic framing is completed, the roofing is underway and set up is in progress for drywall and plaster.

ASAi completed the design for two modernization projects for the elementary schools which were completed in an amazing 107 days.  ASAi recommended that the District adjust their school calendar to accommodate the construction period which allowed this $5 million project (including Clearlake High School's modernization) to be completed over the summer vacation.

ASAi worked with the District, the Bond Committee, the community and staff in securing funding and designing this facility which will be used by the community as well as the four schools.  The project was partially funded by the Joint Use Program.
