The Clovis Unified School District operates the Clovis Regional Learning Center in Tuolumne County. The site is surrounded by National Forest and is an ideal camp for teaching children about natural science as well as living in the outdoors and interacting with others.The camp was old and in need of renovation.The District also planned to expand their facilities, so ASAi worked with the District on the designed expansion and with the various agencies in Tuolumne County to obtain the necessary permits for the work. The Upper Lake Union High School District’s facilities needed more than just modernization.Aspen Street Architects, working with the District, was able to support funding and then design the replacement of almost the entire campus. Point Arena High School is located in the remote north coastal community of Point Arena and has a student population of approximately 190 students. The school was originally built in the 1930’s and as it grew, buildings were added to the site.Early in 2004, ASAi began working with the District to develop a cohesive Master Plan. Lakeport Unified School District has four schools on one site–a K-3 school, 4-5 school, 6-8 school, and a high school. The District lacked minimum essential facilities for this site. Working with OPSC and CDE, ASAi received approval to design a Multipurpose / Gymnasium / Classroom building to serve the District’s entire student population. The Big Pine Unified School District is located in Inyo County and consists of a high school and elementary school on the same property.After ASAi conducted a needs assessment of the elementary campus, we assisted with funding applications for a modernization and helped the District complete the first phase. The Big Oak Flat – Groveland Unified School District is a geographically diverse district with campuses located in both the mountains near Yosemite and in the Central Valley at Lake Don Pedro. ASAi helped the District obtain Joint Use funds for the construction of one Multi Purpose Building at the Lake Don Pedro campus and one Gymnasium Building at the Tioga High School campus in Groveland. Both projects feature modular steel-frame construction, full-sized basketball courts, commercial kitchens, locker rooms and restrooms. Construction is complete on both projects.
ASAi also designed the modernization of Tenaya Elementary which completed in time for the start of the 2008/2009 school year.

ASAi has worked with Soulsbyville Elementary School District since 2001; the campus is located in Tuolumne County, on a steep parcel above the snowline. After ASAi completed the modernization of the existing campus, the Soulsbyville Elementary School District needed classrooms and a multipurpose building for their campus.
The project included the widening of a public road, road construction on campus, six new classrooms in a three-over-three 2-story building and two classrooms in the new multipurpose building, along with a master plan that moved existing portables and made room for additional classrooms on the campus.
